Religious Education

Mission Statement:

We, the Parish of Our Lady Queen of Peace, are a Faith Family who strives in word, worship and deed to follow the message of Jesus.  Through the power of the Holy Spirit that makes us sisters and brothers, we will endeavor to become a community of loving, caring and sharing people.  Through our common Baptism, we will use our individual, and unique gifts to motivate one another in responding more fully to live our Baptismal call of discipleship, and will venture to be a community of service to all those in need.  Aware of our weaknesses and short-comings, we are strengthened by the power of the Risen Lord, and through the intercession of Mary, our Mother, we journey together in courage and hope.

Religious Education classes for grades 1-8 are taught by volunteer parishioners. Volunteers also help as secretaries, teaching assistants, and substitute teachers.

Classes are held Monday nights or Tuesday nights during the school year:

  • Monday 5:00 – 6:15 PM at Sacred Heart School
  • Tuesday 5:00 – 6:15 PM at Hainesport School

Parents who wish to enroll a child as a student or adults who would like to offer their time as a volunteer may do so by contacting the Coordinator of Religious Education, Ginny Fama, at  (609) 267-0230, extension 20.

The religious education program calendar is maintained separately from the parish calendar.  The religious education calendar can be viewed here.
